Bring your students to Harvest Farms in Bilpin—just 90 minutes from the city and nestled in the stunning Blue Mountains.
Our Educational Farm Tours are tailored for K–6 students and align with NSW curriculum outcomes in Science and Geography, as well as the NSW Wellbeing Framework. As part of the Government-funded Kids to Farms program, these excursions are a wonderful way to connect students with agriculture, sustainability, and the natural world.
What Students Can Expect
Each tour runs from 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM and takes place on our 30-acre organic farm and restored orchard. We keep things hands-on, interactive, and age-appropriate—kids are encouraged to explore, get their hands dirty, and ask questions.

- Explore our seasonal veggie gardens and learn what plants need to thrive
- Pick and taste fresh produce straight from the farm
- Meet the worms in our giant worm farms and learn how they help build healthy soil
- Discover the role of beneficial insects in regenerative farming
- Learn about sustainable food systems and the paddock-to-plate journey
- Understand how we use food waste to create compost and improve soil health
- Breathe in fresh Bilpin air, connect with nature, and have some fun outdoors!
Our tours are designed to foster curiosity and inspire students to think about where their food comes from and how their choices impact the planet.
Details and Pricing
Who: Suitable for K–12 and university students and school groups
When: Tours run year-round on Monday or Friday from 10 AM – 2 PM (by prior arrangement only). We can accommodate custom weekday bookings for schools. Please enquire and we can arrange a time that suits you.
Duration: Approx. 3.5 hours (10:30 AM–2:00 PM)
Where: Harvest Farms, Bilpin (Blue Mountains) 3120 Bells line of Rd, Bilpin, NSW
Transport: Bus transport can be arranged if required
Cost:
- 13–22 students: $35 per student
- 23+ students: $22 per student
- Teachers and support staff: Free
We provide a detailed info pack upon booking, including risk assessments, bus parking information, and wet weather plans.
